Here at Winakwa we provide one of the finest outdoor skating experiences in Winnipeg. Exiting the building after tying your skates is just a few steps to our winter version of field of dreams. On top of the standard two ODR’s we also have a large pleasure rink (with curling rings painted). Attached to that pleasure rink is our skating trail that works its way around the grounds to a large skating “donut” that we flood on our slopitch diamond. The community loves this feature because it is unique to us and a real treat for the kids. We also gather discarded Christmas trees from our neighbours and use those trees to line the pleasure rink, trail and “donut”. All in all it is a real beautiful space to spend some time and enjoy the crisp weather in Winnipeg.
