Waterford Youth Centre

The Waterford Youth Centre is an outdoor rink facility run by the community, for the community. A group of local community volunteers operate the centre from outdoor operations, attending in the clubhouse, managing the books and running social media. The centre does not receive any funding of any kind, operations are funded off the fees collected from public skate time, private rentals, canteen profits and general donations. The zamboni is a hand-me-down from the local community rink and our volunteers work hard every winter to flood the surface which is grass, not cement. In recent years, the centre has been deteriorating with lack of extra funds to complete much needed repairs. Many repairs are needed to ensure it can remain open for future generations including new boards, a paint refresh and a new refrigerator just to name a few. This outdoor ink is a hidden gem, we have a great group of volunteers who are eager to save the rink and put in the work to ensure the rink is around for families to enjoy for years to come.
