Sandy Hill Outdoor Rink

The Sandy Hill outdoor rink is a cornerstone of our community. It has been operating for at least 80 years, which is a testament to its value in our neighbourhood. The rink serves as a place to meet your neighbours and form friendships. As rink assistants, young people develop a sense of responsibility by keeping people safe and the rink operational. For the volunteers who prepare the ice, maintenance provides a mission and a sense of purpose throughout the long winter months. Maintaining a high-quality skating surface is an accomplishment we all look at with pride, knowing that we created an outdoor ice playground for our community. The rink is where our children learn to skate and enjoy winter sports. Being on the ice is truly the best place to be in the winter!
