Lakeview Rinks

Our neighbour, Al Arsenault, has been working tirelessly for the past 33 years maintaining these rinks with the help of community volunteers and support from the City of Ottawa. There is a hockey rink with boards and a pleasure skating rink that is converted to a curling rink for two weekends each year and used for a community bonspiel. In addition, there is a network of walking paths connecting to play structures in addition to the rinks and roadways maintained by Al and company making the park accessible and user-friendly year round. They have maintenance down to a fine science. The rinks and paths are always pristine and ready to use. Keeping them clear of snow is ongoing here in Ottawa and it happens like clockwork shortly after and, in many cases, during each snowfall, be it heavy or light.
