Carlsbad Springs ODR

The ODR crew is fully run by 3 local men, all with young families. Not only do they make the hockey rink but they also make a second “puddle rink” so if a hockey game or large group is on the main rink smaller skaters can still have a safe spot to skate. Both my kids have spent many hours over the years learning to skate in our community on both rinks! The volunteers make sure the rink is in impeccable condition and they take great pride in the work they do and in the community. I am so thankful to have a winter activity to do so close to home, and it wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers.
For Carlsbad springs the ODR is important because it brings our small community out for public skating, hockey games and our winter carnival.
