Women’s Weekend Warriors

To Whom it may Concern,

I am writing on behalf of Beaudies House of Hockey, Ringette and Skating to request the circulation of our upcoming Adult Women’s Weekend Warrior Hockey Camp held in Chilliwack, BC. Beaudies House of Hockey is a for profit business, but we are trying to raise awareness to both Female Youth Hockey as well as Adult Women’s Hockey and in doing so a portion of all registration fees will be going towards two non-for profit organizations such as the Grindstone Award Foundation whose mission is to provide opportunities to young female hockey players who have a desire to play, but are unable to for financial reasons and to raise funds for the Zone 3 BC 55+ Women’s Hockey Team travelling to Victoria, BC this September.

I myself (Debbie Beaudoin) played for BC Zone 3 and Canada Winter Games in both Hockey and Ringette and I am now volunteering my time to coach those that have coached me and have paved the way in BC Female Hockey. The Zone 3 (and many other Zone Teams) for the 55+ Division has retired BC Hockey Coaches, Sr. AAA/AA Players, and BC Hockey Evaluators all of whom helped make it possible to have a Youth Female League in BC. Currently I play hockey on a Men’s Team, Coed Team and Women’s Team out of the ASHL in Burnaby, and Langley, Pacific Coast League in Delta and Planet Ice Maple Ridge as well as the Adult Ice Hockey Club in Langley

If you can circulate our poster/and or provide a donation, I believe you will continue to help the growth in Women’s Hockey at both the Youth and Adult level. In addition, we would be happy to promote your business at our event by handing out any promotional material you may have for your organization.

Please see attached our Camp Poster and if you could circulate to both your men’s and women’s teams this would be appreciated. This camp is for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Adult Ice Hockey players and by sending the information to your Adult Men’s group we may attract new Female Players (wives). As the owner of Beaudies House of Hockey, I am looking to provide a POSITIVE OPPORTUNITY in a safe, fun, and structured environment for Women looking to play hockey in the future or for those that are already playing but would like to receive instruction and meet new athletes.

We anticipate 48 players and 4 goalies to participate in our Power Skating and Skills Development Session, Yoga with Shelby, Fitness with Start Now Fitness and 3 Scrimmages. If you have any items that you could donate; pucks, skate towels, t-shirts etc… it would be greatly appreciated.

I understand we may not be selected for the $1,000 prize, because I operate a for profit business, but if you could help us circulate our information or provide small items for our adult women athletes that would be very much appreciated.

Attached is our Adult Women’s Hockey Learn to Play playing at a Jr. A intermission in Chilliwack, BC at the Chilliwack Coliseum for the Chilliwack Chiefs.

On behalf of our company, coaches, and athletes, thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Debbie Beaudoin
