As a coach for the Lady 67’s I can confidently say that our program is dedicated to uplifting and empowering women in the world of sport. Our 4 team high performance hockey program (u13, u15, u18, and u22) is led by a female GM, 3 female head coaches and over 10 additional female coaches and staff members who are all non-parent. We are dedicated to developing our program players on and off ice to help them reach their goals of playing university hockey. The $1000 prize would be used to purchase development resources, to be accessible for all coaches, to further advance our efforts to develop our players and bring them that much closer to their goals.
The resources we hope to add to our program include on and off ice skill development tools (rebounders, stick handling aids, slide boards, etc). The prize money would cover most if not all of the costs to bring these tools to our 77 program players in the 2022-23 season.
