Men have been playing pickup hockey for years. In 2010 a group of ladies in rural Ottawa south wanted to join in. With more women working from home, running local farms and retiring they wanted ice time to play the game they love. Once a week for the past 12 years this group of ladies have rented ice and played pick up. Initially with very low numbers the program has grown to see almost 20 women gather each week. Ice time cost continues to rise and any support of this program would be gratefully appreciated.
