Nepean Wildcats ADP Golf Tournament Fundraiser

We are a group of 52 female hockey players ages 13-18, playing at the top level of hockey for females our age in Ottawa, Ontario. Our goals are to continue to play and train at the highest level and eventually play hockey at the top post-secondary schools in Canada and the US. To supplement our hockey development, we train at a private facility (off-ice) and we regularly participate in workshops and guest speaker sessions. Our goal is to be the best female hockey players we can be, both on and off the ice. Playing at our U22 level is the equivalent to the OHL in boys’ hockey. There is however gender inequity. The difference is our players are not paid. Our players must come up with all their own funds for equipment, tournament, paid coaches, hotels, ice, and much more. In an effort to help bring down some of the costs, we are having a golf tournament fundraiser to not only raise funds but to bring our female hockey community together. If we were chosen to receive the funds, we would put the money towards guest speakers to come and inspire our players with their stories, their paths to D1 schools, nutrition experts, and a top-notch off-ice training program for our girls.
