Ice time is something that is not easy to find or afford. More and more women are playing hockey and there is a growing need for ladies pickup ice. Men have been playing pickup forever and now women are with increasingly flexible work schedules or newly retired want to do so as well.
For the past 13 seasons Cheryl Cooper has been organizing pickup in rural Ottawa South. What started as small group has now grown to close to 20 participants weekly.
This program would help offset cost of ice and equipment such as shooter-tutors.
