Keeping females connected to hockey

When I was a little girl, I wasn’t allowed to play hockey because it was too rough and it was for the boys. It was not until middle school that I was allowed to play and it was the best time of my life. I wish I could take all those fundamental years back.
Now I have my own little girl and times are changing opportunities are opening up for females in hockey. My goal is to connect as many young females to the sport of hockey that I can. I want to create as many opportunities as possible for girls in the sport of hockey on and off the ice led by females.
Connecting young girls to as many hockey opportunities as possible, led by female mentors, coaches, and volunteers is so important to watch the sport grow for our female youth next generation.
