Metcalfe Jets leads the way in Ottawa hockey

The Metcalfe & District Hockey Association was determined to ensure that our kids could stay on the ice during the pandemic last season. The executive worked tirelessly to adapt to changes in public health protocols, adapting bubble sizes, implementing stringent return to play strategies. Masks and gaiters were ordered in the summer to ensure everyone had a Metcalfe Jets mask. Our coaches were creative in practice planning. One of our competitive teams, the Castor River Canucks U13, invited coaches and siblings to join so that scrimmages could be played. They made hockey happen…..even during a pandemic! Pictured here are players and coaches of that team as they enjoyed the game we all love.
